Welcome to The Glow Up Guide

Welcome!

Are you a high school student interested in how to make it suck a little less? Well, you’re in the perfect place. Hi, my name is Saadya Bojja, and I’m a high school student and the founder of The “Glow Up” Guide podcast.

I started this podcast because everyone always said I seemed to have answers for everything, and now it has grown to so much more than I could ever imagine.

Three years later I’m launching a blog.

If you’re into anything from healthy habits to time management advice to real conversations, you’ll feel pretty at home here.

Why did I start The Glow Up Guide?

There’s a ridiculous amount of advice out there on what high school students should be doing. But none of the people saying this stuff are students who know what it’s like. No one really gets it.

That’s where I come in, a high school student who does actually get what you’re going through because I’m going through it too.

I’m here to share practical advice, all from my own real experiences going through the same things you probably are.

There’s a lot of constant pressure on high school students. We have to take the hardest classes at school, come home to hours of homework, and still have sports practices, clubs, jobs, or other responsibilities waiting for us. I’m a student-athlete trying very hard to keep my 4.0 alive right now. So I’m here to help.

What does The “Glow Up” Guide actually mean?

Here, a glow up does not mean completely transforming your appearance overnight. Glowing up here is not about perfect skin and shiny hair. It’s not about working yourself into the ground. It’s not about stressing over the tiniest imperfections.

The “Glow Up” Guide is all about improving yourself in ways that feel realistic and sustainable. We want to work hard and get good grades.

But we also want to focus on mental health, a healthy lifestyle, and building confidence.

Not perfection.

In The “Glow Up” Guide, I give practical advice on everything from burnout to motivation to productivity. I have episodes on time management, routines, and balancing school and life.

We talk about a little bit of everything here. It’s like talking to a friend.

Whether it’s shorter summaries for my busy students or extra insights I left from the week’s episode, come back every Tuesday and Friday for something new and exciting.

I think you’re great as is. I don’t believe that people need to completely reinvent themselves to improve their lives. You’re probably a teenager too, just like me. I don’t promote burnout disguised as productivity.

Being burnt out all the time isn’t normal, even if it’s been normalized for students like us. I’m here to change that.

The small achievement you made does actually mean something.

Consistency and showing up matter more than perfection.

Sometimes just showing up is harder than being perfect about it.

Balance matters here, and growth should always feel realistic. You’re a teenager. I’m fifteen years old as of this post, and no one, including yourself, expects you to have your entire life figured out already.

This blog is for all my fellow students out there. Mainly high school students, but anyone is welcome here.

If you’re just overwhelmed, ambitious but also exhausted, or you’re just someone who wants to realistically improve their life, I hear you.

It’s okay that you feel behind. I do too. It’s okay if you can’t balance everything perfectly sometimes. That happens to me almost every day. This blog is for all my people who want structure without pressure.

I encourage you to listen to the podcast episodes too, whether that’s before or after the blog posts. The podcast is at the heart of what I do. I also post two or three times a week on Instagram and Pinterest, so I would love if you would pay me a visit there.

If you’re a student or just someone who wants to become the best version of yourself, I’m here to guide you. I’m not here to judge your every move or tell you that you’re doing everything wrong. I don’t even know if I’m doing everything right.

We’re just students trying to figure it out together.
